NMIT is the biggest provider of training to the agriculture sector with courses delivered from the Epping Campus located on Melbourne's northern rural fringe. Epping Campus is home to award winning cattle, welding workshops, a forklift training area and glass houses for herb production. It also hosts one of Victoria's few indoor recirculating aquaculture facilities. Nearby are NMIT's two impressive training venues, a farm at Yan Yean and a 60 hectare horse stud and 8 hectare vineyard, Northern Lodge in Eden Park.
