The right educational programs to meet your individual goals are the keynote for a successful future. NMIT offers a broad range of innovative training programs that provide the knowledge and skills needed for the challenges of the competitive marketplace. With a focus on practical experience in NMIT's modern facilities, programs have been designed and developed with industry consultation to ensure the best employment outcomes.

NMIT has six campuses in the northern region of Melbourne including Preston, Collingwood, Epping, Fairfield, Greensborough and Heidelberg with a rural campus in Ararat. There are also four training centres - Northern Lodge, Yan Yean, Yarra Glen and the Northern Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) Centre in Broadmeadows.

With approximately 30,000 enrolments, NMIT offers more than 500 nationally accredited courses, both on a full-time and part-time basis. It also has 370 institute-accredited courses. There are seven faculties - Arts & Social Sciences, Building & Construction, Business, Earth Sciences, Engineering, Further Education and Hospitality, Tourism & Personal Services.

NMIT currently offers three-year, specialist bachelor degrees in Applied Aquaculture, Australian Popular Music, Equine Studies, and Viticulture & Winemaking. Other degrees undergoing accreditation are Agriculture & Land Management , Writing & Publishing, Illustration, Hospitality Management, Screen & TV Production, Horticulture, and Massage & Myotherapy. A four-year degree in Early Childhood Education is also being written.

Associate degrees are offered in International Business, Business Management and Accounting with other associate degrees being embedded in the above mentioned degree programs.

NMIT has achieved great international recognition with approximately 16,000 enrolments and 28 educational partnerships across Asia.

NMIT's close relationship with industry ensures students have the opportunity to be awarded one of 150 study grants and prizes donated by industry sponsors. International study grants are also available.
