From Melbourne City (Flinders Street Railway Station) by private vehicle^:
From Flinders Street Railway Station, head east for 500 metres until you arrive at Spring Street.
Turn left onto Spring Street for 600 metres; continuing along Nicholson Street for 130 metres.
Turn right onto Albert Street, and continue for 1.61 kilometres.
Turn left onto Hoddle Street and following it for 1.84 kilometres.
Bear left at Eastern Freeway eastbound and follow for 2.7 kilometres exiting at Chandler Highway ramp bearing left.
Continue along Grange Road for 1.77 kilometres then turn right into Darebin Road.
Follow Darabin Road for 700 metres then bear left at the Ivanhoe exit ramp onto Oriel Road.
Continue along Oriel Road for 1.17 kilometres.
At the roundabout continue through to Oriel Road for another 800 metres to Bell Street and turn right.
Continue along Bell Street for 700 metres to Heidleberg West exit ramp, and then bear left onto Waterdale Road.
From Melbourne City (Flinders Street Railway Station) by public transport (Zone 1 Metcard ticket needed)*:
Take Hurstbridge train from platform one at Flinders Street Railway Station, getting off at Westgarth Railway Station (9 minutes).
Take Route 246 or 250 bus from Westgarth Railwat Station/Westgarth Street stop heading toward La Trobe University.
Get off the bus at The Mall/Oriel Road stop.
Walk 125 metres back to Bell Street and turn right.
Walk 400 metres to NMIT's Heidelberg campus.
From Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine) by private vehicle^:
Follow City signs from Melbourne Airport to Tullamarine Freeway (southbound).
Continue on Tullamarine Freeway towards Melbourne City for 11.8 kilometres, and then exit to the left at the Bell Street ramp.
Continue along Bell Street for 12.8 kilometres to Heidleberg West exit ramp, then bear left onto Waterdale Road.
From Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine) by public transport (Skybus and Zone 1 Metcard ticket needed)*:
Take Skybus to Melbourne city (20 minute).
Walk towards the Yarra River from the Skybus terminal to Southern Cross Railway Station on Spencer Street (10 minutes).
Catch number 86 tram from Spencer Street near the entrance of the train station. Get off at stop 45 on the corner of Bell Street and Plenty Road (25 minutes).
Walk to Plenty Road/Bell Street bus stop and take Route 513 bus towards Eltham.
Bus stops at NMIT Heidelberg Campus (10 minutes).
