Course Description

Beef Cattle Production is designed to develop and enhance a range of skills required for employment in the agriculture industry. 

Career Opportunities

Graduates of these courses may gain entry into a wide range of occupations available within the beef cattle industry.

Course Duration

Certificate II - Full-time: One year
Certificate III - Full-time: One year
Certificate IV - Full-time: One year
Diploma - Full-time: Two years

Late February/early March

Entrance Requirements

Certificate II and III - Years 9 and 10

Certificate IV - Year 11

Diploma - Year 11 and 12

Skills Recognition - Exemptions/Transfers

Students may apply for Recognition of Prior Learning , if they have completed similar subjects. 

Pathways to Further Study

Successful completion of the certificate courses leads to study at the higher levels. The Diploma may lead to study at a Bachelor degree level.

Assessment methods for these courses include: 

  •      written activities and assignments 
  •      oral activities 
  •      participation in a group

Materials

Students will need to provide writing materials.

Qualification

As part of the Australian Qualifications Framework this program is nationally recognised.  On successful completion students will be awarded the Certificate II, III, IV and/or Diploma of Agriculture (Beef Production).
