Course Description

This course aims to give students the skills and knowledge of hairdressing and provide the standard trade training qualification in hairdressing.

Full-time: One year (720 nominal hours)

Course Commencement Dates

February and July.

Entrance Requirements

Must be over the age of 18.

Skills Recognition - Exemptions/Transfers

Students may be eligible for exemptions/transfers on the basis of previous qualifications.

Pathways to Further Study

Students who successfully complete the Certificate III in Hairdressing may wish to go on to the Certificate IV in Hairdressing.

Assessment Methods

Assessment is competency based. Satisfactory completion of each learning outcome is required. Some competencies may be assessed through course work while others may be achieved through on-the-job training.

This course is a full fee program. Please contact the Hairdressing Unit for fee information.

Qualification

As part of the Australian Qualifications Framework this program is nationally recognised. On successful completion students will be awarded the Certificate III in Hairdressing.
