| Course Description
This course is designed to combine theory with practice and aims
to provide graduates with the skills, knowledge and values required
to undertake employment as Social Welfare Workers. It is best suited to people who have some experience of welfare work and/or previous relevant qualifications.

| Career Opportunities
Successful completion of the course may lead to employment in government
or non-government services as a welfare worker, community worker,
case manager, client services assessor or family support worker.

Part-time: Three years

Requirements
Applicants must be aged at least 20 at the commencement of the
course and are required to have completed at least one year paid
or voluntary welfare-related work for part-time study.
Prospective applicants
who meet the selection criteria will be interviewed.
Applicants must attend an information session.

Students may be eligible for exemptions/transfers
on the basis of previous qualifications.

The Diploma of Community Welfare incorporates
