Course Description

These courses in irrigation are designed to develop and enhance a range of skills required for employment in the agribusiness and irrigation construction industries.

 

Career Opportunities

Graduates of this course may gain entry into a wide range of occupations available within the agribusiness industries.

Course Duration

Certificate II - Part-time: One year
Certificate III - Part-time: One year
Certificate IV - Part-time: One year
Diploma - Part-time: Two years

Enrolments are taken throughout the year. Contact the department for details.

Entrance Requirements

There are no prerequisites to entry at each level. Recognised prior education and/or experience will determine appropriate entry level.

Skills Recognition - Exemptions/Transfers

Students may be eligible for exemptions/transfers on the basis of previous qualifications and/or prior experience.

Pathways to Further Study

Successful completion of the certificate courses leads to study at the higher levels, including at Diploma level.

Assessment methods for these courses include:

  • written activities and assignments

Materials

Students will need to provide writing materials.

Qualification

As part of the Australian Qualifications Framework this program is nationally recognised. On successful completion students will be awarded the Certificate II, III, IV and/or Diploma of Irrigation.
