Course Description

This course aims to develop hospitality operational skills. The structure of the course includes practical skills training in food and beverage, housekeeping and front office area.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of this course may gain employment in the general hospitality industry including hotels, motels, restaurants, clubs and other hospitality establishments.

Course Duration

Full-time: 1 semester

Course Commencement Dates

February and July.

Entrance Requirements

None. Prerequisites do not apply to mature age applicants.

Skills Recognition - Exemptions/Transfers

Applicants who are admitted to the course may be granted exemption from some units if they have passed equivalent studies at another institute. Details and application procedures are available from the Hospitality Department.

Pathways to Further Study

Students who successfully complete the Certificate III in Hospitality (Operations) can articulate into the Diploma of Hospitality Management course.
