Description
This course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge
and skill development for the achievement of competence that will
enhance their employment prospects within the multimedia industry.
The course has a number of benefits that include:
- Enhancing job prospects & career opportunities
- Providing a solid foundation upon which to base further studies
in Multimedia
- Developing skills in the application of various media such as
text, sound, video, graphics and animation to a range of business,
education, entertainment and commerce areas
- Developing skills in using a graphical user interface (MS Windows)
- Providing a solid grounding in the most widely used multimedia
software packages (Flash, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Providing an understanding of Workplace
- Health and Safety issues
- Providing the student with a better understanding of the Multimedia
industry and how they may fit into it
- Identifying components of Multimedia

Appropriate for a person working under supervision as a Technical

Requirements
No formal entrance requirements however proficiency in the use
of Windows 2000 will enable the student to cope with the course.

| Skills Recognition
- Exemptions/Transfers
Students completing the Certificate III in Multimedia will be able
to apply to undertake the Certificate IV in Multimedia. Students
will be eligible for exemptions in some subjects.

Students completing the Certificate III in Multimedia will be able
to apply to undertake the Certificate
IV in Multimedia. Students will be eligible for exemptions in
some subjects.
