Course Description
This course is designed for people wishing to perform the duties and tasks of a Para-professional accountant. The course provides training in procedures, which will enable graduates to assist senior accountants. This is the industry specified pathway for persons wishing to practice as a qualified accountant. This qualification is designed to reflect the role of employees working as accountants who perform duties such as: tax planning, evaluating business performance (financial modelling), perform internal and external audit functions, perform and supervise audits, management financial planning and managing a team or department.

Career Opportunities
Seek admission to the second year of a degree program. Seek employment in the Accounting profession. Seek admission to membership of the National Institute of Accountants. The successful completion of the Advanced Diploma of Accounting allows students to continue study into the Bachelor of Commerce, which can be completed in a further one and a half years. The following course structures are based on the delivery strategy adopted at NMIT. Variations in delivery strategies may exist between Registered Training Organisations.
