Course Description
This course is designed to combine theory with practice and aims to provide graduates with the skills, knowledge and values required to undertake employment as Social Welfare Workers.

Seek employment in both government and non-government services as a qualified Welfare Worker. Seek to undertake further study in a four year degree course in Social Work with advanced standing. Seek entry into a related degree course such as Bachelor of Community Development, specialising in community development or urban studies.

Entrance Requirements
Applicants must be aged at least 20 at the commencement of the course and are required to have completed at least two years paid or voluntary work in areas related to this course. IELTS of 5.5-6.0 (or recognised equivalents). This course is particularly targeted at existing workers who are seeking qualifications.
