LAMY: Hello my name is Lamy. I come from Germany but my background is Vietnamese.
SACHIE: My name is Sachie. I’m from Japan.
ALEX: My name is Alex. I come from Colombia.
JOON: My name is Joon. I’m from South Korea.
REBECCA: My name is Rebecca I come from China.
TERRY: I come from ??? China, my name is Terry.
MARGARITA: I’m Margarita Garcia I’m from Colombia which is a great and beautiful country.
MARTIN: My name is Martin, I’m from Hong Kong.
SENVY: Well my name is Senvy. I’m basically from Mauritius and I have basically an background of Indian culture and French culture at the same time so I’m half French and half Indian.
---WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO COME TO AUSTRALIA?---
LAMY: I come to Australia because of improving my English and when I’m here I went around the city. There are lots of institutes and universities where you can study good English.
SENVY: I chose a pathway with NMIT which was really good for me and I chose mechanical engineering because that’s my childhood dream.
LAMY: After I talk to many friends of mine and they gave me an advice go to NMIT.
JOON: My cousin living in Australia before so she recommend this TAFE, NMIT.
REBECCA: I see lot of beautiful pictures and general information about our school I like here.
LAMY: You can study in a good environment speak perfect English with teacher and many, many international students.
SENVY: And it cost me cheaper like you know you’re doing advanced diploma and so you get more practical work first of all so you get your work experience first of all over there itself you get more confident in your work because you’re already doing it in practical.
MARGARITA: NMIT is the best institute for high level English.
--- WHAT ARE THE TEACHERS LIKE AT NMIT? ---
ALEX: The teachers they are very good. I like they are very kind and they help us very much.
MARTIN: She is very helpful for us because if we have a lot of question plus we don’t understand, we can ask her answer to those questions after the class.
LAMY: I really enjoyed all activities we did in the classroom and my teacher also. I love all the teacher here.
SENVY: They actually taught me like how I was supposed to, you know, build in the confidence and everything, how am I supposed to make my life my future and everything so they’re really helped me.
--- WHAT IS IT LIKE LIVING IN MELBOURNE? ---
LAMY: Life in Melbourne is exiting.
REBECCA: Melbourne is a very beautiful city.
ALEX: I like the people because is very kind, very friendly.
LAMY: The people here in Melbourne they are very acceptable, friendly to you if you are friendly to them, yes.
ALEX: There are many things to do and many, many places to meet. It’s interesting.
LAMY: And I love food in Melbourne it’s delicious and very fresh.
SENVY: I got lost somewhere ok and they actually helped me to go through the roads and everything and actually reach home.
REBECCA: Melbourne is very clean and fresh air. I love this city.
--- WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE STUDENTS COMING TO STUDY AT NMIT? ---
REBECCA: I think if you want to study English come here.
MARGARITA: You can also learn so much about different cultures because you are here with many people form different countries.
REBECCA: With have some lovely classmate. They are very funny.
JOON: Because someone study in Australia they get two thing I think. One is English, one is the skill of whatever they want.
LAMY: You should go to the NMIT because here is a very good environment to study English. It’s not so expensive like everywhere else.
MARGARITA: I used to be afraid of come here because of strange country and strange people but don’t be afraid because when you are here is great. Is great! The people is friendly and very kind and you can enjoy it.
