Refunds

The following outlines NMIT's refund policy:

1. 100% refund if NMIT cancels the course, or the student applies within four weeks of commencement of classes for a refund on the basis of transfer to another educational institution.

2. 100% refund, less the $55 minimum tuition contribution, if the student applies (on the official Application for Refund of Fees form) within four weeks of commencement of classes for a refund on the basis of withdrawal from all classes in the course.

3. 100% refund, less $55 minimum tuition contribution, if the student inadvertently enrols in a course when eligible for the minimum tuition contribution - eg: a student on New Start Allowance. Proof of receipt of New Start Allowance at time of enrolment must be submitted.

4. No refund of fees will be made to any student, who by way of cancellation of subject enrolments, reduces their hours after commencement of classes in any subject for which the student is enrolled.

5. No refund of fees may be applied for outside the current academic year.

Note: NMIT short courses are subject to different fee structures
and refund policies.

The refund form is available from any NMIT Information Centre.
