NMIT Short Courses
Certificate III In Pathology (HLT32607) (23PCS) |
|
This qualification covers workers who undertake the collection of blood and other pathology specimens under supervision. It should be noted that this qualification does not cover collection of a range of specimens for specialised testing, collection of arterial blood gases or team leadership and training.
Certificate III in Pathology is a prerequisite for Certificate IV in Pathology.
Work placement is organised by NMIT but is not necessarily available immediately after completion of classes.
The Certificate III in Pathology is awarded on successful completion of the 3 parts.
Individual certificates are offered for each part successfully completed.
Prerequisites: As this course requires the taking of blood, NMIT recommends that all enrolees seek medical advice regarding immunisation against blood-borne disease before commencing.
