NMIT is one of the largest and most successful government-funded providers of tertiary and vocational education and training in Australia.

Based in Melbourne, it offers more than 500 nationally-accredited courses on both a full-time and part-time basis. Studies include horse studies to hospitality, commerce to community theatre and welding to welfare, with a wide selection of study options from pre-apprenticeships, apprenticeships and traineeships through to certificate, diploma and advanced diploma level.

NMIT also offers applied and specialised programs from short courses to bachelor-degree level.

NMIT has 40,000 students, including international students, enrolled at seven campuses located throughout the inner and northern Melbourne regions and country Victoria.
